An empty attic sells badly: with no furniture, a buyer sees a volume under beams and cannot picture living in it. The photograph stays the same, same beams, same skylights, same gable window, same floor. Only the furnishing is added.

Drag the slider. The roof structure does not move by a pixel: that is what makes the exercise honest and, incidentally, what makes it work, a projection that redraws the walls no longer shows the property, it shows a different one.

Same exercise in the living room, with one nuance: the pool, tarped on the day of the shoot, is returned to its usable state. Here the projection re-framed the shot, lens and viewpoint are no longer quite those of the photograph, so no slider: two images side by side, each readable for what it is.
